Libby Brookshire is an artist from Austin, TX whose ceramic work is inspired by the animals in the environment and the complex relationship between humans and nature. Her art explores themes of anthropomorphism, the ways we perceive ourselves as separate from the natural world, and influences from Minhwa, traditional Korean folk art.

"I am fascinated by the connection between humans and animals in nature," Libby says. "We are animals ourselves, yet we often forget that we are part of the environment, not separate from it. Through my work, I love exploring this intersection—how the more we interact with and experience nature, the deeper our connection becomes—to both our environment and ourselves."
