My desire is to make simple functional wheel thrown pots that feel good when picked up and held in one's hands.  I also seek to balance function with beauty by simple brushwork, carving or texture to enhance the piece and I am especially drawn by how subtle differences in shape or color can totally change the look of a piece.  I am thankful for the many artistic dimensions clay has to offer to the potter and to the wonderful community of potters I work with in Austin, Texas.
