As a ceramicist, I am a hand builder and surface designer. I create clay forms (functional and/or decorative) that serve as my canvas. Once I form my pieces, I revel in exploring textures, features, colors, and distractions to breathe life into them. This vitalization of the image, mostly spontaneous, is one of the most enjoyable aspects of creating them.
