I like to explore shapes, forms, textures and color patterns with various clay bodies applied to dinnerware. I work mostly on the wheel but also with slab building. The smoothness and whiteness of the porcelain or the white stoneware clay become an open canvas for the drawings of whimsical animals inspired by recent encounters. Darker stoneware clay bodies with their idiosyncratic behavior with glaze are pure joy and bring a pleasant esthetic to any table.
