I’m trying to incorporate some of my major influences--like comic strips, gag and political cartoons, German expressionism and Mayan art—into the ceramic pieces I’m making. Other aspects of the work are derived from my mental collection of images of creatures, cactus, eccentric-looking folks and bizarre objects.
