For me, it's all about the surface!  I love the movement and color that working in earthenware affords me. Like many students of ceramics, I learned my chops using high fire clays, covering my pieces with glaze. But my growing awareness of folk pottery the world over lured me into creating imagery in my work - with my own spin, of course.  I want the outside of my mugs to be as enjoyable as whatever's on the inside!
